Lena On The Move is an emerging travel website with a fast growing readership. In a time that is both fast-moving and success-driven, most people are looking for small escapes from their daily routines, transformational adventures and world trips they can take without spending all of their savings. On the blog, readers of Lena On The Move find both inspiration and practical advice that help them pursue their travel desires and goals. Besides, people can join and follow the authentic journey through different cultures, landscapes, and oceans on several social media channels.
Holding a degree in International Business and tourism management, I have always been interested in the world of business, media, and marketing. With Lena On The Move, I have combined my professional skills and my passion for travel. Since the beginning of 2017, I have been working as a professional travel writer, freelance content creator and digital marketing consultant for small and medium-sized brands and companies (mostly) in the tourism industry, and also became an accredited member of the International Travel Writers Alliance.
Although obtaining a degree in tourism management is somewhat useful, I hold the opinion that if you really want to get to know the tourism industry, it is important to learn the principles of customer service from scratch. Therefore, I used several oportunities to gain hands-on experience while working at dive centers, tour operators, hostels and travel agencies in different countries – from start-up companies to successfully established businesses. I had the chance to get to know different business models and was responsible for various fields within each company, such as customer service and acquisition, targeted online marketing activities, creative social media campaigns and strategic business development.
In order to remain an authentic source to my audience, I only collaborate with brands that are relavent to my readers and are in line with my budget travel philosophy. In accordance with ethical blogging practices, all reviews published on Lena On The Move will be truthful and reflect personal opinions. Sponsored posts and promotions both on the blog and social media channels include a sponsorship notation as required by the Federal Trade Commission in the US and the VSW in Germany.
